POLICE are investigating after a lit firework was thrown through the letterbox of a house.

The house on Grasmere Avenue in Orford was targeted while it was occupied shortly after 7.30pm on Saturday, November 29.

Although the property’s letterbox was damaged, no injuries were suffered as a result of the incident.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “A firework was put through the front door letterbox of an occupied house in Grasmere at around 7.40pm on Saturday, November 28.

“No-one was injured as a result of the incident, and the letterbox was the only thing that was damaged.”
