TWO men who were arrested on suspicion of drug dealing after police stopped a car in Prescot have been released under investigation.
Officers from the Matrix Priority Crime Team stopped a Volkswagen Golf R vehicle in Prescot on Monday, November 23.
Police say they searched the back seat passenger, a 30-year-old man, due to a "smell of cannabis" coming from the car and that a large quantity of cash was found.
The suspect was arrested.
Meanwhile, the driver, a 27-year-old man, was also arrested.

Police also conducted searches at the suspects' homes.
Officers allege that an amount of cannabis resin, designer clothing and shoes as well as watches and computer equipment were seized as part of the investigation.
Officers arrested the suspects in connection with the investigation.
Arrests were made on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.
A police spokesman said both suspects have been released under investigation with enquiries ongoing.
