AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD football fan has been doing his bit to help a charity supported by Manchester United's Marcus Rashford which helps fight hunger among people most in need.
Jacob Worthington, from Nutgrove, featured in the Star in October after he modelled the Adidas Manchester United third kit for the 2020/21 season.
The youngster was asked by the club to model the shirt after he built up a large following on Instagram after having his picture taken with his United heroes and posting them on to his account on the site.
Now Jacob has done his bit to help a cause promoted by the United and England striker.
The St John Vianney School pupil completed his target of running 20k, completing the feat in five sessions in aid of FareShare.
Marcus Rashford has been an ambassador of FareShare since March, who work fighting hunger in the nation’s most vulnerable communities.

Jacob's dad John said: "He saw the Marcus Rashford thing on TV and he thought why don't we do a couple of runs?
"He did 20k in five runs. He ran four 3k runs and the final one of 9k around the Dream statue, so he did more than what he wanted to do.
"He has raised £187 for Fair Share and has been getting a few sponsorships.
"The other week we went to see the Marcus Rashford mural (in Manchester) and he posted it on his Instagram and Marcus shared it which was good!"
