POLICE have launched an operation to target "organised crime" in Prescot after receiving reports from residents.
Officers say they have had reports of anti-social behaviour, drug dealing and vehicle crime in the area.
They are asking for residents to use an online survey to pass on any information anonymously which could help police.
In a statement on Tuesday, police said: "The information we have received from the residents has led us to develop an operation to target serious and organised crime in the area.
"We are carrying out an open land search as well as other tactics in the specific areas that you have told us about.
"We understand that anti-social behaviour, drug dealing and vehicle crime where you live is not acceptable and we are doing everything we can stop it from happening."

Officers shared details of an online survey people can use to report issues anonymously.
They added: "You can go on to the survey as many times as you like and pass information to us. Something that you may think is insignificant, could be the missing piece to a bigger picture of criminality where you live.
"We will not ask for your name , this is completely anonymous."
