WHEN Warrington Rylands get their season back underway, they will do so without a player that has contributed a lot to their recent success.
The club have confirmed that vice-captain Ste Wolhulter has departed to join Ashton Town, who ply their trade in the division below Blues.
Versatile midfielder Wolhulter joined the club from Billinge prior to the 2018-19 season and helped the club win the North West Counties League First Division South title in their first campaign at that level.
He often featured at left-back during the curtailed 2019-20 season which saw Dave McNabb's side on course for back-to-back promotions before the Covid-19 pandemic and was even a regular starter this season.
Games in the NWCFL and all other "non-elite" football leagues in England are currently suspended until at least December 2 due to the ongoing national lockdown.
