MORE than 80 patients are being cared for in hospital across Warrington and Halton after contracting coronavirus.
This is according to Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its daily coronavirus briefing.
As of today, Thursday, 82 inpatients are being treated for coronavirus, with 12 of these in intensive care.
Since the start of the pandemic, the trust has tested a total of 27,659 people for Covid-19, with 1,671 returning a positive result.

The number of patients who have recovered from the virus and have subsequently been discharged stands at 501.
Sadly, 157 coronavirus patients in the care of the hospital trust have died.
