A SUSPECTED drug dealer has been charged after police raided an address in Runcorn.

Officers executed a search warrant at a property on Cooper Street at around 11.15am yesterday, Wednesday.

Ricky Hope, of Caithness Court, has since been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of cocaine in connection with the raid.

The 29-year-old appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court via video link earlier today, Thursday, in order to face these charges.

He will now be brought before Chester Crown Court next month and has been remanded into custody until that date.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “A 29-year-old man from Runcorn has been charged with class A drug dealing offences.

“Ricky Hope, of Caithness Court, was arrested in Cooper Street in Runcorn town centre at around 11.15am on Wednesday, October 14.

“He has subsequently been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and being concerned in the supply of the class A drug.

“The charges relate to a warrant that was executed in Cooper Street on the morning of Wednesday, October 14.

“Hope appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court, via a video link, on Thursday, October 15.

“He was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Thursday, November 12.”
