MUSIC stars and comedians have been sending video messages to Parr Hall to wish the historic Warrington venue a happy 125th birthday.
The Palmyra concert hall launched with an opening concert on September 26, 1895, with contralto singer Clara Butt, who was a big star at the time.
Since then, the Parr Hall has been entertaining Warrington crowds for more than century and Starsailor's James Walsh, Phoenix Nights' Dave Spikey, Manchester comedian Justin Moorhouse and Shed Seven's Rick Witter were among those paying their respects to the venue.
James even performed an acoustic version of Starsailor's Good Souls in tribute to Parr Hall and in recognition of the tough time it is going through.

Sadly, the music hall had to celebrate the milestone on Saturday behind closed doors due to the coronavirus restrictions.
Manager Chris Persoglio said: “What we’ve tried to do is reflect back on the last 125 years rather than concentrate on the day itself.
“It’s celebrating all the events that Parr Hall has held. We’ve seen a lot of things coming through on social media as we’ve been asking people to share their memories, images and ticket stubs.
“I’m always amazed by the amount of people who come to the Parr Hall and ask to look around. A lot of couples have met here at the dances or at a concert.

“Sometimes you don’t realise how many memories have been created from people who met there 50 years ago to people seeing their first pantomime.
“I was saying to the team the other day you always remember your first show.”
