THE community-led Penketh Scarecrow Fest is back and has this year taken inspiration from TV shows past and present.
You can view around 50 scarecrows all over the town from 10am on Sunday.
Usually the scarecrows stay on display for a week but this year they will up for a bit longer to ensure anyone who is self isolating gets to see them.
There is no charge but organisers are raising funds for Penketh Primary School which has had to cancel its annual fireworks display due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
Kelly Rhodes, one of the organisers, said: "Last year the funds raised bought new books and whiteboards, which benefitted each and every child. It would be great if people could donate a few pounds.
"The festival, now in its third year, is a brilliant way to get out and about in the fresh air and to have a wander around Penketh, looking at all the enthusiasm and creativity the people of the town have to offer."
