Popular Runcorn pub reopens after 10 years
A PUB in Runcorn has reopened.
The Straw Hat reopened as a family community pub in Runcorn Shopping City.
Members from Runcorn Veterans Association helped with the opening after it was closed for 10 years.
They serve food and a wide selection of alcohol.
There is also a Sunday carvery, functions, afternoon tea, pool, darts, quiz night and Saturday Djs/singers.
It is the last remaining community pub from when the New Town was built in the 1970s.
The new landlord is Stefan Schieb, from Germany, who has been refurbishing the pub since March but keeping some of the original features.
The pub is open from 11am until 11pm.
