FIREFIGHTERS were called out to extinguish a suspected arson attack in a disused railway tunnel in Ellesmere Port.
The fire in Merseyton Road, next to the M53 motorway, was reported to Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service at 7.48pm on August 5.
One fire engine attended from Ellesmere Port was deployed to the scene.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish a fire in a disused railway tunnel, which involved a large quantity of waste.
The crew were in attendance sat the scene for around 20 minutes.
The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate and anyone with any information is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
