THE red rose county is among the places in England people are most looking forward to visiting on a staycation this summer, a survey has revealed.
Lancashire placed fifth on the list of destinations people are most likely to visit over the coming weeks as millions opt to stay on home soil instead of flying abroad.
Within the county, the destinations of Blackpool and Morecambe were the two most sought-after locations for people searching for B'n'Bs and hotels according to website My Late Deals.
Above Lancashire in fourth place was Dorset, with neighbours Cumbria in third place, Devon in second and Cornwall coming in on top as the place people are most likely to visit over the coming weeks.
Behind us in sixth is Pembrokeshire, with North Yorkshire in seventh, the city of London in eighth, Northumberland in ninth and East Sussex in 10th.
