COMET Neowise was spotted by residents in the sky above St Helens over the weekend.
Star reader Stuart Williams was among those to share some stunning pictures of the comet.
He took the images from Haydock.
The comet was discovered by NASA’s Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, known as NEOWISE, on March 27.
It will reach its closest point to Earth on July 23 and is going to be visible from anywhere in the UK for the rest of the month.
