TWO intrepid barmaids put out an appeal for tins of beans in 2005 so they could do their bit for Children in Need.
Students Rachel Huddleston and Laura Barrow who worked part-time behind the bar of the Dog Inn on Revidge Road, Blackburn, were hoping to sit in a bath full of beans to raise charity cash but needed about 400 tins of them.
Laura said: “I’ve always wanted to do something like this and help charity.”
Rachael added: “It should be fun if we get the beans.”
