A POPULAR indoor climbing attraction in Ellesmere Port has announced its reopening schedule.

Boulder Hut based in Poole Hall Road will reopen its doors from July 25.

The family-friendly venue will have a number of coronavirus safety measures in place, including checking visitors' temperatures on arrival.

On July 25, The Boulder Hut will reopen exclusively to ultimate pass members, aged 11 plus, who have provided continued support with donations while the centre has been temporarily closed due to the pandemic.

The following day (July 26) the venue will reopen to all ultimate pass, aged 11 plus, before welcoming back all climbers in this age range from Monday, July 27.

August 1 and 2 will see the Boulder Hut open to under 11 ultimate pass members, with August 3 seeing all under 11 climbers welcomed back.

Capacity will be restricted so climbers must book in advance.

The safety measures put in place by the centre include:

  • Visitors remaining 2m away from everyone else unless they live in the same household/bubble.
  • Hand sanitiser stations on entry/exit and around the centre.
  • Checking everyone's temperatures on arrival.
  • Liquid chalk use only.
  • High-frequency cleaning and disinfecting of high touchpoints.
  • No water jars so visitors need to bring their own filled water bottles.
  • Contactless payment where possible.
