THE best and worst GP surgeries in Northwich, Winsford and Middlewich, according to patients, have been revealed.

This year’s GP Patient Survey results have been released, with every practice in England ranked against each other for patient satisfaction.

Willow Wood Surgery in Winsford has the most satisfied patients in the mid Cheshire area, with 93 per cent of patients surveyed rating the practice as ‘good’, well above the national average of 82 per cent.

Willow Wood was closely followed by Weaver Vale Surgery in Winsford and Witton Street Surgery in Northwich, both being rated good by 92 per cent of patients.

Middlewich’s two GP surgeries, Waters Edge Medical Centre and Oaklands Medical Centre were next on the list with 89 per cent and 87 per cent respectively.

Weaverham Surgery was the practice with the lowest customers satisfaction across Cheshire, with just 54 per cent of patients grading their practice as good – down from 67 per cent last year.

And when it comes to making an appointment, only 35 per cent of patients at Weaverham Surgery were satisfied with the service, whereas at Willow Wood in Winsford, 84 per cent of patients were happy with the service of appointment booking.
