Jake is ready to fulfil his ‘paw’tential as a family pet.
Name: Jake
Breed: Lurcher
Age: 3
Sweet Jake is a three-year-old Lurcher. He loves to be out and about and is super friendly with everyone he meets.
We don’t know much about his history but we have discovered that he’s a playful chap and has been enjoying learning how to play with toys with his Canine Carers.
Georgina Lowery, Manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, says: “Jake is a wonderful boy, we have all fallen in love with him here.
"He’s progressing so well in his training and we’re all very proud of him. He’s learnt how to be calm around dogs when out and about but enjoys quiet walks where he can relax and would love to be the only pet in the home so he can have all the attention to himself.
“Jake is housetrained and loves human companionship – he can be very affectionate when he wants to be! He can live with children aged 14 and over.”

Dogs Trust Merseyside is still closed to walk-in members of the public. However, the team can now also book appointments for those dogs who can’t be rehomed using the centre’s new ‘Handover at Home’ process.
Potential new owners will be able to meet the dog they are interested in rehoming at the centre in an outside play area, or in a spacious area that is separate from the main rehoming centre such as a training barn, whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines.
