SAINTS fans and players have been sending messages of support to former favourite Sia Soliola after the forward revealed shocking images of a facial fracture he suffered while playing in the NRL.
Reports in Australia say Sia, who now lines up for Canberra Raiders, is set for months on the sidelines after after a head clash against the St George Illawarra Dragons.
He left the field for what was believed to be a head injury assessment but he was then taken to hospital for assessment.
After undergoing scans, Sia took to Instagram to share images of the shocking injury, with the fracture appearing to run across his face.
Reports Down Under suggest he is likely to require surgery.
He appeared in decent spirits though, writing: "At least my teeth are intact."
As the images were shared by news organisations around the world, Saints and their players were quick to send well wishes to the 33-year-old, who has played international rugby for New Zealand and Samoa.
