THE walkway around West Kirby's Marine Lake officially reopens tomorrow as lockdown restrictions continue to ease.
Social distancing is crucial and signage has been installed along the walkway and at each entrance as a reminder to walkers.
Safety was the main consideration when the path was closed by the council earlier in the year, after concerns including feedback from residents.
Cllr Julie McManus, Wirral's cabinet member for community services, said: "We have decided to reopen the walkway around the marine lake after changes to government guidance on Coronavirus, however walkers still need to be cautious.
"If the walkway is busy, consider visiting at a quieter time or come back another day.
"It's harder, if not impossible, to social distance if the walkway is crowded."
