THERE were no further coronavirus deaths recorded in the North-East and North Yorkshire.
Latest figures published on Tuesday afternoon confirmed none of the NHS Trusts in our region recorded new Covid-19 deaths.
Nationally, a further 37 people died in hospitals across England after testing positive for the virus.
A spokesperson for NHS England said: "A further 37 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 28,709.
"Patients were aged between 48 and 94 years old. One patient, aged 80, had no known underlying health conditions. Their families have been informed."
The total number of patient deaths recorded by each trust - as of 5pm on Monday, June 29:
- County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust – 251 no change
- Gateshead Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust – 135 no change
- Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust – 200 no change
- North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust – 140 no change
- South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – 254 no change
- South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust – 325 no change
- Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 116 no change
- York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – 214 no change
- Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust - 80 no change
- Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (mental health) – 7 no change
- Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (mental health) – 7 no change
Total: 1,729 was 1,729 - remained the same
