THERE have been more than 6,000 crimes reported in Darlington since the beginning of the year, new figures reveal.
Between January 2020 and May 2020, Durham Police recorded a total of 6,495 crimes in Darlington.
The most common crimes fell under the 'violence and sexual offences' (2,056 crimes) and 'anti-social behaviour' (1,812) categories.
The least common crimes reported fell under the 'theft from a person' (16 crimes) and 'robbery' (21 crimes) categories.
