CINEWORLD in Warrington town centre will no reopen until the end of July - the company has confirmed.
In line with recent changes to upcoming film release dates, Cineworld has pushed back its reopening date to Friday, July 31.
Originally the cinema was supposed to reopen on Friday, July 10.
This new date remains subject to final confirmation.
The cinema chain has put in a number of safety measures in place including hand sanitising stations, distanced seating and staggered film times to manage queues and avoid the build-up of crowds.
The company is also adding plastic screens at concession areas where safe distancing cannot be maintained.
All employees will receive specific Covid-19 training and PPE will be provided to employees where the risk assessment has deemed it necessary.
The first new films due to be released are expected to be Mulan, Tenet, Proxima, A Quiet Place Part II and No Time To Die.
