TWO men are in hospital with stab wounds tonight following a street fight in Tranmere.
Police were called to Linwood Road at around 6.25pm following reports of a disturbance involving a group of males.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with a non life-threatening stab wound to the back.
A second man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with cuts and bruising and a laceration to his leg.
Three men have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent following the incident.
A police cordon was put in place covering Linwood Road, part of nearby Downham Road and Mersey Park as part of the police investigation. It is likely to remain in place for the rest of the evening.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "An investigation is underway and house-to-house and CCTV enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
