WAITING times of two hours are reported after the reopening of a McDonald’s today.

The Maccies branch at the M6 services in Lymm was back open for business at 11am today, Tuesday, for the first time since it shut due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But more than 80 vehicles are currently in the queue, resulting in waiting times of up to two hours.

Some cars are even being turned away by police, who have urged motorists to avoid the area.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “There are currently over 80 vehicles queuing and up to two hour waiting times for the reopening today of McDonald’s at Lymm Services.

“Cars are being turned away if waiting times are too long.

“Please avoid the area unless necessary.”
