POLICE stopped a "large group" of fish poachers breaking government guidelines near Romsey.
Police say they stopped the group in Kimbridge, in the Test Valley, due to the covid-19 lockdown restrictions but were also found to be fish poaching on the River Test.
The culprits are now being dealt with by police and the environment agency after being stopped on March 26.
A police spokesperson said: "If you have any information that could help in our investigation, please let us know by phoning 101 or online at www.hampshire.police.uk using reference number 44200111443.
"If you see anyone/anything you think is suspicious, we want to know. This includes people you may suspect are breaking current Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. Phone us on 101."
