The people of Wirral showed their appreciation for NHS front line workers fighting coronavirus on Thursday night by clapping them on their doorsteps.
Thousands of residents stood outside their homes at 8pm before breaking into a mass round of applause that stretched across the borough.
The united display of appreciation, which was replicated across the country, created remarkable scenes, the likes of which have never been seen before.
Globe readers sent in their videos capturing the moment and although there were too many to feature, we have compiled a selection of them from across the borough.
On Wednesday, the number of deaths in the UK from coronavirus rose by over 100 in one day for the first time.
The toll now stands at 578 with 11,658 confirmed cases.
