With cinemas closing, studios have started to announce that they will be releasing films early for watching at home.

It is attempt for movie makers to recoup money which has been lost at the box office due to the coronavirus and self isolation. These are the ones we know about so far:

The Invisible Man (15)

The Bolton News:

The Handmaid's Tale's Elizabeth Moss plays a woman who has just escaped an abusive relationship, only to find her ex has the power to turn invisible and is using it to torment her.

This one was currently in cinemas and is out on video-on-demand from tomorrow, Friday.

The Hunt (15)

A controversial US thriller in which a group of blue collar workers wake to find themselves pursued by a sinister elite.

It was only released in cinemas last Wednesday but will be available to watch at home from tomorrow, Friday.

Emma (U)

The Bolton News:

A retelling of the romantic comedy based on Jane Austen's novel. In 1800s England, a well meaning but selfish young woman meddles in the love lives of her friends.

Emma is being fast-tracked to video-on-demand and is out tomorrow, Friday.

Birds of Prey (15)

A sequel of sorts to the DC Comics adaptation, Suicide Squad. After splitting with the Joker, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) joins Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to save a young girl from crime lord Roman Sionis (Ewan McGregor).

Available to rent from Tuesday.

Frozen 2 (U)

The Bolton News:

Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven leave Arendelle to travel to an ancient, autumn-bound forest of an enchanted land. They set out to find the origin of Elsa's powers in order to save their kingdom.

Available at home from Tuesday.

Vivarium (15)

Jesse Eisenberg and Imogen Poots star in this sci-fi thriller as a couple who moves to a seemingly perfect suburban neighbourhood they can’t leave, no matter how hard they try.

This will be available to rent on the same day it was due in cinemas – Friday, March 27.

Trolls World Tour (U)

The sequel to 2016’s Trolls. Poppy and Branch go on a journey of musical discovery when they learn there are six troll tribes scattered over six lands – with each devoted to a different kind of music. It will be released for rental on April 6 – the day it was going to hit cinemas.

Bloodshot (12A)

The Bolton News:

The comic book adaptation is about a soldier (Vin Diesel) who becomes superhuman after he is brought back to life by a team of scientists.

Powered by nanotechnology, he is gifted with super human strength and rapid healing and goes after the man who killed his wife.

But he soon comes to question those he thought he could trust.

Bloodshot is being released on video-on-demand in the States on Tuesday and will be available in the UK 'soon'.
