SANDIWAY Primary pupils have been sharing the love with residents at a local care home this Valentine’s Day.
The children made the short trip to Sandiway Manor Care Home to present elderly residents with homemade cards to show that they were thinking about them.
They also sang songs and got some of the residents up dancing, while others danced away in their seats.
Mandy Gagon, activity coordinator at Sandiway Manor who organised the event, said that it was fantastic to see both young and old have fun together.
“It was a lovely morning where pupils as young as four got together with residents aged up to 99,” she said.
“The children gave out Valentine’s cards to every resident and sang songs with them.
“Some residents were up dancing with the children while others could be seen dancing in their seats.
“Afterwards, they all enjoyed morning snack together and it was a brilliant day for all involved.”
