CHARITIES that support veterans have benefitted from a unique take on the "Three Peaks Challenge".
Dyserth chainsaw artist has met with representatives of the Royal British Legion (RBL), Blind Veterans UK and the Army Benevolence Fund to present each of the three charities with cheques for £467.
Mr Murray raised £1,401 in September after taking on the challenge to scale Snowdon, Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike within 24 hours. Mr Murray and his group - which included his sister Katy Bickerstaff, Mark Dalton and driver Jonathan Morris - completed the task in just 17 and a half hours despite the added stipulation of carrying tools and timber to carve a piece at each summit.
