DUNKY’S Day Nursery in Runcorn is outstanding in all areas, according to a recent Ofsted inspection report.

The nursery in Weston point earned the prestigious title for its quality of education, the behaviour, attitudes and personal development of its children and leadership and management.

Ofsted inspectors published a glowing report, paying attention to how children leave the establishment ready for school, confident and successful.

Joanna Davies-Bate, nursery manager was thrilled with the positive result.

She said: “Dunky’s Day Nursery in Runcorn are delighted to announce that we are officially outstanding.

“We were recently inspected under the new inspection framework.

“We are extremely proud of this achievement and so excited to share this with you.

“The Feedback we received from both inspectors was overwhelming.

“We would like to thank our parents, past and present, for their continued support and we hope you are as proud to be a part of the Dunky’s family as we are.”

The Ofsted report praised the nursery environment, describing it as warm, nurturing and affectionate.

It reads: “Children who attend this nursery thrive because of a rich, varied and inspiring early years curriculum.

“The manager leads the team of staff with the utmost integrity, ensuring they provide wonderful innovative ways for children to learn.”

The report also went on to stress the good behaviour of the children.

Inspectors noted: “Babies develop safe, secure attachments, building skills for managing their feelings.

“One parent described the nursery as a ‘home-from-home’ environment.

“Children are respectful, kind and make friendships from the youngest age.

“They share resources, take turns and praise each other during activities and mealtimes.”

Dunky’s Day Nursery Runcorn, Mathers Avenue, caters for children up the age of five.

It also has the facilities for a breakfast club, an after school and holiday club for children aged between five and 13.
