THE Real Thing are bringing their greatest hits tour to The Brindley in Runcorn with original vocalists Chris Amoo and Dave Smith.

Liverpool's soul band, which formed in the 1970s, have been back in the spotlight recently with their documentary film, Everything, which premiered in London's West End.

They have also recently appeared on This Morning and will be featuring on The Michael Ball Show on BBC Radio 2 in March.

The tour, which comes to The Brindley on March 13, is in support of their Greatest Hits double album release which includes a lost song recorded in 1976 – Someone Oughtta Write A Song About You Baby – which the duo have released as a single.

It is another Ken Gold and Micky Deane composition. They were the writers behind The Real Thing's biggest hits You To Me Are Everything and Can’t Get By Without You.
