CRONTON College students have enjoyed a series of activities marking its annual Engineering Industry Week.
The Widnes sixth form welcomed guest from a variety of companies within the sector in order to hold workshops and talks with pupils.
These included big businesses such as Unilever, Balfour Beatty, Arup, Bilfinger, Kier and the Halton Chamber of Commerce.
And the week was rounded off with an exhibition in the college’s IDEA Centre, which allowed students to display their work to companies and receive expert advice from industry professionals.
Jo Hall, head of engineering at Cronton College, said: “Our Engineering Industry Week was a huge success.
“It is fantastic to see our students so engaged in the workshops and interacting with the guest speakers.
“Weeks like these are incredibly important for students as it gives them a better understanding of life in the workplace, and shows them the endless opportunities out there for future engineers.”
