LIBRARIES across Northwich will be hosting a number of events to improve mental and physical wellbeing during Health and Wellbeing Week.

The scheme will commence from Monday, January 27 through to Saturday, February 1, and will include activities such as mindfulness walks, chat and craft and Lego club.

Something will be available for everyone to get involved with, and Healthwatch will be on hand to hear your views, needs and experiences of health and social care in the area.

Louise Gittins, leader of Cheshire West and Chester Council and cabinet member for wellbeing, said: “Our Health and Wellbeing Week event and activities list is very long and there is definitely something for everyone – and it’s all free.

“It’s really important for wellbeing to keep learning and keep your brain active; why not find out more about family or local history, or join in craft session for the Social Butterflies project.

“You can also connect with other people at a coffee morning or be active and try through a dancing taster session.”

Residents can also take advantage of the ‘Reading Well Books on Prescription’ scheme, which allows you to explore recommended self-help books for common mental health conditions including anxiety, depression and phobias.
