DISCIPLINE and focus has helped Laura Collacott to lose an incredible nine stone.

Laura told Runcorn & Widnes World that she did not originally plan to lose nine stone.

But after deciding to go on a vegan diet and running, her weight has fallen from 17-and-a-half to an impressive eight and a half stone in two years.

Looking back on her success, the 23-year-old, who works as a store assistant at Bonmarche in Widnes said: "I never intended to lose all of this weight; it just happened.

"The funny thing is I weigh less now than I did when was 10.

"I was 10 stone then and am eight and half stone now, which is incredible really."

The secret to staying in trim is simple.

Laura continued: "I do 30 minutes of cardio and and an hour of yoga everyday, and I have no intention of stopping this.

"My message to people in the same situation is 'If you are serious and have your mind set on losing weight, just keep going'

"I have found that the benefits for your health are fantastic".

The dramatic transform has attracted a lot of attention.

Laura explained: "A lot of people see me as an inspiration.

"I have strangers come up to me in the street and they remark on my incredible weightloss.

"I did a health and nutrition course and passed level two and would like to become a fitness instructor."

She is also proving an inspiration to those closer to home, adding: "My brother is a bit overweight and has said he wants to go on the treadmill.

"I have said I will do what I can to help him lose some weight."
