A CHARITY marathon is aiming to raise awareness for homelessness on New Year's Day.
The 26.2 mile run at Queen's Park in Bolton has been organised by Craig Nightingale, Amy Alice Watkin, and Marc Clough.
Starting at 10am, the run is open to all ability runners with people joining for just one mile, or completing half marathons.
Mr Nightingale said: "We see so many homeless people out there and wanted to give something back.
"I have ran in dozens of marathons before, so I know many athletes who are joining in to raise awareness for the amount of homeless people in Bolton."
One of the youngest runners will be 13-year-old Anan Tiger Clark, an inspiring ironman, who will run his first half marathon.
Anan loves training and running, and wants to complete the Bolton Ironman challenge when he is 18.
The run will cover the Bolton Marathon route, and will meet in the morning at 10am.
The run is in partnership with Darren Armstrong, the founder of Be Strong Charity.
