Mike Amesbury has been re-elected as the MP for Weaver Vale with a decreased majority.
The Labour candidate beat Conservative Adam Wordsworth by 562 votes, less than one-sixth of the majority at the 2017 election.
Daniela Parker of the Liberal Democrats came third and the Brexit Party's Nicholas Goulding came fourth.
Voter turnout was down by 1.5 percentage points since the last election.
Nearly 51,000 people, 71.9% of those eligible to vote, went to polling stations across the area on Thursday in the first December general election since 1923.
Two of the five candidates, Nicholas Goulding, Brexit Party, and Paul Bowers, Green, lost their £500 deposits after failing to win 5% of the vote.
In Halton Derek Twigg remains as the MP with a landslide win.
Labour's Mr Twigg received 29,333 votes (63%), with Conservative Charles Rowley trailing on 10,358 votes.
