LEADERS Cringlewood held on to top spot in the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League when they edged out rivals Central A 4-3.
In the clash of the top two sides, Central A came out of the blocks first taking the opening game courtesy of Jamesey Ennis before Cringlewood bounced back with the next two games.
Andy McCormack fought back with another game for the Central A before Cringlewood went up a gear or two and took the next two legs to win the match.
As a consolation, second-placed Central A did take the pairs gallon at the end of the match.
Central B were up against third-placed Timperley Cons – the latter taking the first game via Gary Sullivan before Jon Collins of Central B hit back with a win.
After that, the Cons hit form, taking the next three games with wins from Paul Murray, Andy Brownhill and Darren Buckley.
Dennis Hand got one back for Central A before Andy Kindred, of the Cons, finished things off for their fifth win of the night to seal a 5-2 win and they also won the gallon pairs.
Elsewhere, British Rail beat the Navigation 6-1 and also claimed the gallon pairs to move into fourth on leg difference.
