HALTON Borough Council's Open Day at Runcorn Town Hall takes place this Saturday.
Members of the Mayor’s Fundraising Team will be raising money for Nightstop Communities North West and Let's Go Stroke Club during the free event, which runs from 10am–4pm.
There will be various stalls – tombola, raffle, cake stall and of course Father Christmas will be in the grotto throughout the day.
The following choirs will sing in the council chamber on the day:
- Astmoor Primary (10.30am)
- The Grange School (11.05am)
- Runcorn Community Choir (11.40am)
- Moore Primary (1.15pm)
- St Martin's Catholic Primary (2.25pm)
A spokesman for the event said: "Should you have any items that could be of use for the tombola or raffle i.e. unwanted gifts, toys, bric-a-brac, or any items that could make up a Christmas food hamper i.e. Christmas cake, Christmas pudding, mince pies, coffee, tea, biscuits, chocolates, they would be very gratefully received.
"Items can be dropped off either at Municipal Building, Widnes, for the attention of Kay Sparks, or at reception at Runcorn Town Hall for the attention of Joe Mather Burns.
"All items would be required no later than Thursday, November 28."
Entry is free.
