POLICE have issued an urgent appeal to trace a missing 26-year-old man.

Matthew Harrison was last seen in Wigan at 8am on Saturday morning.

Matthew is originally from Eccleston, St Helens but has been living in Prescot.

Police believe he could be in Scotland.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: “We are urgently appealing for information to find a missing man from Prescot who was last seen at the weekend.

“Matthew is white, 5ft 11in tall, of slim build, with short ginger hair, a short beard. When last seen, he was in a navy polo shirt and blue jeans.

“He is believed to be driving a silver Ford Mondeo.”

Anyone with information or who has seen Matthew is urged to call 101, message @MerPolCC or pass information via the charity Missing People on 116 000.
