BROADHEATH Central A got off to a great start in the first match of the new Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Winter Darts League when they beat the B team 6-1.
Mickey Roche took the first game which was followed by wins from Dave Stott, Tony White and Jamesey Ennis.
Central B hit back against the A side with a win of their own courtesy of James Roberts but that was short lived as the A team then took the last two via wins from Andy McCormack and Darren Wood.
The Central B team did have a little victory of their own, however, with Dave Wood hitting a 12-dart leg – the least so far in the league.
Central A also won the pair's gallon at the end.
Elsewhere, British Rail made a strong start by beating Timperley Conservative Club 4-3 in a close match.
The Cons did bounce back by winning the pair's gallon at the end.
Cringlewood had a 7-0 walkover against Navigation, as well as the gallon win.
