A MAN from Widnes has been jailed following the theft of commercial batteries from industrial premises.
Scott Naughton, of Leigh Avenue, was arrested in Christleton Court, Runcorn, at around 7pm on Sunday, October 10.
The batteries were stolen from premises in Christleton Court on the same night.
Naughton was subsequently charged with theft, being found in enclosed premises, going equipped for theft, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
The 31-year-old was also charged with indecent behaviour at a police station.
He pleaded guilty to all six offences at Warrington Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (October 22) and was handed a 10-week prison sentence.
Naughton was also banned from driving for three months and ordered to pay the company he stole the commercial batteries from £1,000 compensation.
