A CARE home in Lymm has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award recognising its involvement in the community.

Keate House Residential Care Home will be competing against facilities from across the country after being put through to the top seven in the Caring UK awards.

Finalists will now go through to the next stage of the judging process where they will be out to impress by showcasing their work first-hand.

This stage involves a visit to each finalist by a member of the awards team who will take a look around the facilities and chat to residents and staff.

Keate House care manager, Diane Clarkson, said: "It is a great honour to be shortlisted for this award.

"This represents the hard work and dedication of our team to ensure the residents of Keate House are an integral part of the community of Lymm and in return Keate House gives back to our community by supporting and participating in local events."
