TOWN CENTRE: Christopher Morris, 38, of County Road was fined £324 and given a 16 month driving ban after he admitted failing to provide a blood specimen and driving a Citroen Berlingo while uninsured on March 23. He must pay £280 in costs and surcharge.

TOWN CENTRE: Nathan Shand, 25, of Sheppard Street, was found to have caused £4,424-worth of damage to a bedside cabinet, chest of drawers, kettle, wardrobe door, bedroom wall and fire door. But magistrates made no order after considering a psychiatric report.

TOWN CENTRE: Jamie Pritchard, 26, of Groundwell Road, pleaded guilty to sexually touching two women in Trowbridge and Swindon in February. He was bailed to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on October 23 for a sentencing hearing.

RODBOURNE: Prabhat Sakya, 48, of Bude Road, was sentenced to a 12 month community order after he admitted assaulting a woman. He must complete a six-month mental health treatment programme and was fined £600. Sakya was also ordered to pay £170 in costs and surcharge.

SWINDON: A thug who assaulted a woman known to him and threatened to damage her home with a hammer avoided jail – for now.

Oliver Summers, 38, of Drayton, Abingdon, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and threatening criminal damage. He was sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment, with that sentenced suspended. He must complete a domestic abuse programme with the probation service and abide by a year-long restraining order banning him from contacting his victim.

Summers was told to pay £200 in costs and surcharge.

WEST SWINDON: Claire Cook, 41, of St Andrews Ridge, admitted using another man’s bank card to go on a spending spree.

Cook spent £1,763 at H&M, M&S, Next and Shop Direct Finance. Magistrates adjourned the case to October 30 for sentence.

TOOTHILL: Jacob Rodney, 31, of Cowdrey Close, denies taking an Audi A3 sports car without consent, driving it on Beaulieu Close without insurance or a licence and stealing a bottle of Hennessey whiskey, bottle of Baileys, set of house keys and a bank card. He pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis.

He was bailed for the trial on January 6. Under the terms of his bail conditions he must not enter Tadpole Garden Village.

SWINDON: Richard Wicks, 56, of no fixed address, denies threatening to kill his wife and using physical and verbal behaviour. He pleaded not guilty to a charge of coercive and controlling behaviour. He was granted unconditional bail to appear before Swindon Crown Court on October 25.

SWINDON: Karl Hegarty, 39, of no fixed address, was sentenced to a 12-month community order, must do 40 hours of unpaid work and was banned from driving for a year.

Last month he twice failed to provide a sample of breath having been stopped on suspicion of drink driving. Hegarty, who pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen, must pay a £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

SWINDON: Khalil Alathoub, 24, of Coronation Road, London, denies possession of a Bluetooth device in connection with a fraud relating to a driving theory test at the Swindon test centre.

He was bailed to appear before magistrates on November 28 for the trial.

WROUGHTON: Sophie Hammond, 31, of Lords Close, was found guilty at trial of driving on Ocotal Way without due care and attention, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to report the accident to police.

She was fined £280, given six points on her licence, pay £350 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

SWINDON: Christopher Wilson, 24, of Kenilworth Lawns, admitted causing £1,560-worth of damage to a Hyundai car. Magistrates fined him £256, ordered he pay £1,560.96 compensation to the owner and £115 in compensation and costs.
