TWO new faces will take their seats in the Salters Den, with the deadline fast approaching for mid Cheshire entrepreneurs to enter.

This year's business competition sees entries close at noon on Friday, November 1, with entrants vying for a £2,500 cash prize and 12 months' accountancy and legal mentoring and support.

Solicitor Robert Gore from Mosshaselhurst and Cllr Richard Beacham from Cheshire West and Chester Council will start their new roles as judges once entries are submitted.

Mosshaselhurst has supported the competition since it launched in 2015, and as a director and solicitor at the firm's Northwich office Robert is embracing the opportunity to be involved in finding a winner.

He said: “It’s my first time as a judge and I am hoping that I can provide useful insights drawing from my experience working with business owners.

"It’s always interesting and encouraging to see business initiatives in Northwich and Winsford and I am pleased to be a part of this key event for the area.”

Cllr Beacham, CWAC cabinet Member for housing, regeneration and growth, takes up the mantle from predecessor Cllr Brian Clarke.

Cllr Beacham said: “I, myself have run a small business since 2013 and have enjoyed working in collaboration with other companies on digital and design projects.

"I am looking out for people who give everything they have got to deliver their ideas. I want to see genuine innovation and ideas that will benefit our local economy in Cheshire.”
