MIKE Amesbury has praised the ‘fantastic’ members of staff who work in a town centre charity shop.

The Weaver Vale MP visited the Scope shop on High Street to meet with the dedicated team of volunteers who run it.

The charity aims to provide practical information and emotional support to disabled people and campaign relentlessly to create a fairer society across the UK.

And Mike wanted to thank them for the vital work that they do to support Scope in Northwich.

Northwich Guardian:

“Scope carries out important work, supporting disabled people and their families, across the country,” said the MP.

“I am incredibly proud to support Scope’s mission to achieve everyday equality for disabled people and support disabled people into the workplace.

“This was an excellent opportunity to see for myself the fantastic work they are all doing to help raise funds for this great charity, whose services do so much to support disabled people and their families in the country.

“I would encourage anyone who is looking for a hidden gem and a bargain, or is able to volunteer some time, to visit the Northwich shop.”

Sarah Steadman, Northwich shop manager, added: “We were all very excited when Mike Amesbury MP visited our shop.

“To have such a high-profile member of the community support Scope’s mission to achieve everyday equality for disabled people was incredible.

“A big thank you to all our loyal customers for supporting Scope in Northwich.

“Our volunteers are extremely important and we wouldn’t be able to run the shop effectively without their support. We are always in need of volunteers to join our team.”
