Emergency teams have been deployed to the scene.
FIREFIGHTERS are currently looking for a missing person stuck in mud by the River Mersey near Orchard Park, Elton.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, along with the police, coastguard and ambulance, are looking for the man, in an incident reported to emergency services on Tuesday, October 8 at 6.11am.
The coastguard's helicopter and the fire boat from Chester are helping to locate the man.
Emergency services are relocating to Runcorn part of the River Mersey as they continue the search.
