ORGANISERS of a fireworks display at Anderton Boat Lift this autumn are promising an ‘unforgettable’ show which will wow spectators.

In an explosion of sound and colour, the popular Northwich landmark will be staging its annual musical firework display against the dramatic backdrop of the River Weaver.

Hosted by Blitz Fireworks, a multi award-winning firework team from Crewe, the display is aiming to exceed last year’s extraordinary display.

And everyone is welcome to head down and watch what will be a spectacular event on Saturday, October 26.

“The lift’s musical firework display is really something special and is one of the highlights of the calendar,” said Graham Wood, duty manager at Anderton Boat Lift.

“Visitors find the setting magical, with the giant lift overlooking the water and the wonderful interplay of music and sound as the fireworks and music synchronise.

“It really is an unforgettable night out for family and friends and a ‘must see’ event.”

The synchronised musical display will see fireworks launched from floating pontoons in the River Weaver.

Visitors will also be able to see the fireworks reflect in the glittering water from the lawned terraces of the boat Lift.

As well as enjoying the fairground rides and play area, children can buy a series of glow-in-the-dark toys and gadgets.

Delicious and freshly prepared food will be available on the night and there will be a fully licensed bar in the Lift View Marquee.

Gates will open on the night at 6.30pm and big savings can be made by pre-booking tickets here.

Pre-booked tickets cost £7.50 for adults, £5.50 for children and £22 for a family, comprising of two adults and two children.

All children under three can attend for free, but will still require a ticket to gain entry.

On the night prices will be £9.50 for adults, £6.50 for children and £24 for a family ticket.
