FAMILIES inspired by the Museum of the Moon and the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing have the chance to win a prize.

To celebrate the launch of the Contemporary Arts Festival, the team at Culture Warrington are challenging visitors to dress to impress with a space theme.

Simply head along to Light Night in Palmyra Square on Friday in your wackiest fancy dress and post your most creative photo on social media using the hashtags #WarringtonMoon and #WarringtonArtsFest19.

Culture Warrington staff will then pick out their favourite photo and contact the winner to offer a family ticket to this year’s Parr Hall pantomime Cinderella.

The festive family favourite comes to Parr Hall in January with all the family-friendly slapstick humour and singalongs you would expect.

The winner of the panto tickets will be messaged on social media, so make sure you are following Pyramid and Parr Hall and Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival to be in with a chance of winning.

Leah Biddle, cultural manager of Culture Warrington, said: “We really want Warrington families to connect with this year’s festival and what better way than embracing the theme and dressing up in front of the moon as an alien, an astronaut or even a mad scientist?

“It’s also really important to us to keep nurturing our relationship with the public so this is a great opportunity to engage with them on social media, introduce them to our wider programme of events and get to see them again in a few months’ time.”

Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival featuring Museum of the Moon runs until October 14.
