A FUNDRAISING page has been set up to help the family of a Widnes mum who tragically died after being mauled by her pet dogs.

Elayne Stanley, 44, died on Tuesday, September 24 when her two dogs, both believed to be American Bulldogs, attacked her at her home on Graham Road.

It is believed that the victim's 12-year-old twins were at home at the time while Ms Stanley's older daughter ran to get help during the shocking incident.

Ms Stanley's family are currently being supported by specialist officers.

Cheshire Police confirmed that enquiries into the incident are ongoing and that both dogs involved in the attack have now been destroyed.

Now a friend of Ms Stanley, Beverley Dixon-Hall is trying to raise £3,000 to provide some help to her three daughters.

So far £2,260 has been raised of the £3,000 target.

On the page, Beverley wrote: "Let's help give her the send off she deserves and her babies a little helping hand in this difficult time.

"The response is overwhelming... again you beautiful beautiful souls."
