SHOPPERS will have the chance to rescue Liverpool from a zombie apocalypse with a brand new interactive app.
Working in conjunction with Liverpool ONE, Zombies Unleashed will allow visitors to hunt down and capture virtual zombies in the run up to Halloween.
The app, free to download and aimed at players aged 12 and over, was launched on September 25.
As part of the app, players can also track down 'energy boosters' in store windows, helping them tackle more zombies and make their way up the leader board.
Players will unlock their first zombie when they download the app and should then hunt for the others located at seven points across Liverpool ONE.
Donna Howitt, marketing director at Liverpool ONE, said: “We’re extremely excited about Zombies Unleashed as we begin the countdown to Halloween.
"This latest app is just another example of how we’re making visiting Liverpool ONE an entertaining and fun experience.”
This Halloween will also see a series of events planned for youngsters called 'Spooktacular'.
